There has been a sharp increase in the number of companies that could close down due to non-payment of taxes in the UK. This was reported by Bloomberg.
Accountancy firm UHY Hacker Young said HM Revenue & Customs had applied for the closure of 2,391 companies due to unpaid taxes during the year.
It was noted that, within the scope of combating the consequences of the epidemic, the tax office is prohibited from starting to terminate the activities of companies that do not pay taxes until April 2022.
