Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov commented on the impact of the new EU sanctions package banning the export of Russian diamonds. This was reported by TASS.
“We will restructure sales markets according to other regions. I am sure that this will not benefit those who impose these sanctions,” Siluanov said.
He noted that Russia has a significant presence in the rough and polished diamond market. According to him, the Russian Federation and De Beers share this volume approximately half. According to him, there is demand for Russian diamonds and the Russian Federation will enter other markets.
