Representatives of Russian Railways and Kazakhstan Railways (KTZ) discussed traffic volumes along the North-South transport corridor at a meeting in Moscow. This has been reported Web site KTZ.

In 2023, the volume of freight traffic between Kazakhstan and Russia increased by 5.4%, reaching over 83.8 million tons.
