Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni opposed the revision of the multi-annual EU budget for the benefit of Ukraine. His words lead the way RIA News.
“Revising a multi-annual budget solely for the purpose of finding resources for Ukraine, without taking into account the needs of our societies in the context of the consequences of the conflict, will not benefit Ukraine itself, as this will lead to its exclusion. “European public opinion already reflects the fatigue of the conflict,” stressed the head of the Italian government.
According to Meloni, when revising the budget, it would be useful to take a balanced approach to adjusting finances and pay attention to several areas at once, including focusing in particular on solving the migration problem and strengthening EU industry through the introduction of new technologies.
