According to him, this is the highest figure in the last 30 years and is 15 percent above the 2022 level.
“We plan to show more than a reasonable result of 8.4 million tonnes, which is the maximum production volume of the last 30 years and exceeds the 2022 figure by 15%,” the official said.
He noted that the actual volume will exceed the 2030 target of 7.9 million tons.
“It is important to ensure a stable production volume in the coming years in order to meet domestic needs,” Razin emphasized.
In addition, according to the deputy minister, the greenhouse sector is expected to grow by 1-1.5 percent in 2023 and reach 1.7 million tons. Currently, 45 greenhouse complexes with an area of over 400 hectares are being built in the Russian Federation.
The official reminded that last year, greenhouse vegetable production increased by 8 percent to 1.6 million tons, and open soil vegetable production increased by 10 percent to 5.6 million tons. A record harvest of 1.7 million tons of fruits and berries was also collected.
