Sberbank’s responsible financing portfolio (green, adaptation and ESG loans) could reach 3.4 trillion rubles by 2026. This was announced by the bank’s senior vice president for ESG, Tatyana Zavyalova, quoted by the Interfax agency.
Sberbank’s sustainable financing portfolio currently exceeds 2.4 trillion rubles, the company’s top manager noted.
“It will grow by the end of the year, but it’s not a big deal. We expect Sber’s responsible financing portfolio to grow by 40% of the current portfolio, reaching approximately 3.4 trillion rubles in 2026,” said Tatyana Zavyalova.
The bank’s senior vice president for ESG emphasized that the current value of 2.4 trillion rubles greatly exceeds Sber’s plans announced at the beginning of the year: Previously, it was planned to increase the sustainable financing portfolio to 1.7 trillion rubles by the end of 2023.
