GDP growth in Russia could reach 3% by the end of 2023. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced this at a conference within the scope of “Information”. Conference room,” he reports TASS.
According to Mishustin, GDP growth in October was 5% on an annual basis. In 10 months, this figure reached 3.2%.
“And we expect growth of around 3% by the end of the year,” the Prime Minister said.
He also noted that even opponents who “admit that sanctions do not work” talk about Russia’s successes. The Prime Minister added that good dynamics continue in the real incomes of the population.
The Chairman of the Council of Ministers emphasized that Russian industry is gradually freeing itself from external pressures. Thus, the growth of the manufacturing industry in October was 9.5% compared to the same period of the previous year.
At the end of November, the IMF estimated the revenue Russia would receive from a tax on CO2 emissions. According to the fund, Russia is affected by this tax. to obtain 4.3-4.4% increase in GDP by 2030.
