Ukraine’s state budget in 2024 is able to finance only 50% of the capabilities of the country’s military-industrial complex, which is currently unable to meet the needs of the army. This was stated by the Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine Alexander Kamyshin on his Telegram channel.
As Kamyshin said, together with the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, he held a working meeting with manufacturers of the country’s military-industrial complex.
According to him, the country cannot meet the needs of its defense forces and will continue to depend on external resources from Ukraine’s partners.
He emphasized that the funds in the budget are sufficient to shrink approximately half of the capacity of the domestic market next year, and that there is a need for transition contracts and the purchase of certain items from abroad.
