According to the government’s review of the draft cited by the newspaper, the materials included in the draft law did not contain any analysis or assessment of the impact of the introduction of the proposed measures on the retail gasoline and diesel markets. It is also stated that government regulation of prices in the domestic market would create insufficient incentives for the supply of fuel to the domestic market, which could cause shortages and lead to an uncontrolled increase in prices.
