Slovak cargo carriers temporarily unblocked the Vysne Nemecke – Uzhgorod checkpoint on the Ukrainian border. This was reported by the official spokesman of the State Border Service of Ukraine, Andrey Demchenko, in an interview with the Ukrainian media.
“During meetings with representatives of the border police of the Slovak Republic, information was received about the temporary removal of the traffic block for trucks at the Vyshne-Nemecke checkpoint,” Demchenko said.
He did not specify how long the checkpoint would operate, stating that there were approximately 350 trucks in line at this checkpoint in the direction of Ukraine.
Before that, unknown persons in Slovakia at the Ukrainian border blocked movement for trucks.
It is stated that trucks are blocked from passing near the Vyshne Nemetskoe – Uzhgorod checkpoint. At the same time, Bratislava did not officially inform Kiev about the possible closure of the border and the participation in protests of Slovak carriers with Polish truckers.
