The company RN-Krasnodarneftegaz, which is part of the Rosneft oil and gas production complex, is celebrating its 80th anniversary since its founding, the oil company’s press service reported. The enterprise was founded in 1943 and continues the traditions of Kuban oil production, which has been carried out in the region since 1864.
Summing up the anniversary results, company representatives noted that currently RN-Krasnodarneftegaz is the main oil and gas production enterprise of Rosneft in the south of Russia, its total production exceeds 244 million tons of oil and 116 billion m3 of gas.
RN-Krasnodarneftegaz operates in 10 regions of the Krasnodar Territory.
“The extracted oil has unique physical and chemical properties. The organization ensures stable oil and gas production through the introduction and use of new technologies and production methods,” the press service said in a statement.
Representatives of the enterprise note that many technologies and methods were first created and tested by Kuban oil workers. For example, in the 60-70s of the last century, seven multilateral wells were drilled in the Kara field for the first time in the world. Today, this method is used in oil fields around the world. Thermal oil extraction methods were first used in the country in the 1970s and later became widespread.
RN-Krasnodarneftegaz recently completed the implementation of Rosneft’s gas investment program, which includes the construction of gas collection and purification system facilities in 4 large field groups. This made it possible to achieve a minimal burden on the environment and improve the environmental situation in the region. The level of rational use of the corresponding oil gas by the enterprise reaches 98%.
In addition, the company actively uses renewable energy sources. Optimum geographical conditions allow the use of wind generators with integrated solar panels on the sites. The high efficiency of wind and solar energy use improves the environmental, production and economic performance of oil and gas production.
The company also noted that the company is the largest taxpayer and employer in the Krasnodar Territory, implements social and volunteer projects, pays special attention to environmental safety and the preservation of the unique nature in the region where it operates.
