Aeroflot has increased the share of Russian food and beverages on board to over 90% by 2023, according to the airline’s website. In 2021, this figure was 60%.
“The company is constantly expanding its domestic product range in order to replace imports and support domestic producers,” the statement said.
It is stated that most of the items in the vehicle menu are completely in Russian. As Aeroflot explains, these are dairy products, poultry, bakery products, juices, sauces and spices. At the same time, the share of domestic meat, fish and seafood in the airline’s diet is more than 90%, and depending on the type of cheese, from 85 to 100%.
Additionally, most of the drinks on Aeroflot’s wine list are produced in Russia. For example, the share of domestic wines increased to 70 percent last year. Currently, on Aeroflot’s flights in Business class there are three types of Russian wine produced in the Krasnodar region: sparkling wine, red wine, white wine, in Economy and Comfort classes – red and white wine.
Aeroflot emphasized that the airline will continue to work on import substitution of onboard food and beverages.
