According to Rosstat, it was learned that food inflation in the Russian Federation was 1.35% on a monthly basis in October 2023, accelerating compared to the September level of 0.86%. This was reported by RIA News.
The publication states that the increase in food prices on an annual basis was recorded as 6% in October, 4.78% in September, 3.58% in August, 2.23% in July and 0.18% in June.
Rosstat emphasized that the prices of non-food products increased by 0.55% last month compared to September.
Previously in service statedIt was stated that the average retail price of diesel fuel in Russia increased by 1.7% in the week between September 4 and September 11, reaching 62.64 rubles per liter.
Experts attribute the increase in prices to changes made in the fuel damper mechanism, which reduced payments from the budget to oil companies. This may lead to further increases in wholesale fuel prices. From the beginning of the year to September 11, the price of gasoline in Russia increased by an average of 8.5% and the price of diesel fuel by 7.3%. At the same time, inflation was 3.9% during this period.
Formerly Central Bank of the Russian Federation raised key rate up to 15%.
