Alfa-Bank will launch a free training program on artificial intelligence at 300 universities across the country. Vladimir Verkhoshinsky, Managing Director of Alfa-Bank, spoke about this during the General Assembly discussion on artificial intelligence at Finopolis 2023.

Within the scope of the project, the bank will cooperate with leading federal and regional universities. These will be departments and training courses dedicated to technology, big data and artificial intelligence. Education will be free.

“If earlier it was important to improve financial literacy, now it is extremely important to help young professionals of the future with digital literacy. And we see this as our mission. The program will help them gain useful applied knowledge about future professions related to artificial intelligence. Verkhoshinsky stated that it was a pure coincidence that the generation under the age of 13 had the same name as Bank Alpha and that this program was aimed at them.

Future graduates are expected to include data scientists, product and project managers, strategists, artificial intelligence and IT experts. The bank also announced that educational projects will aim to improve students’ digital skills through practical training with the participation of Alfa-Bank experts.

It is stated that some universities have already launched a course in product management. Alfa-Bank also launched a master’s program with MIPT and a digital department at the Financial University, headed by Alexey Kashirin, director of the Alfa-Bank Center for Advanced Analytics. Additionally, the bank is opening IT co-working spaces at the country’s leading universities; A similar space was recently opened at the Higher School of Economics.
