Forbes magazine has published the ranking of Russia’s best employers according to the results of 2022, where special attention is paid to the social and environmental obligations of companies. Sber became one of the leaders in the rating, receiving two platinum and one gold awards, the company’s press service reported.
Thus, Sber was awarded the “platinum” award in the field of corporate governance and environmental initiatives and the gold award in the “employees and society” category. In total, 27 companies entered the platinum category with Sber.
The jury noted that Sber continues to implement initiatives aimed at improving employee well-being in 2022: salaries have been revised and a long-term incentive program with bank shares has been launched for key managers.
In addition, experts estimate that Sber spent 6.8 billion rubles on charity last year. 34 percent of this amount was allocated to support veterans and disabled people.
The Forbes rating methodology was developed in 2021 together with KPMG (Kept brand since 2022). All metrics are divided into three groups corresponding to the ESG acronym: “Environment”, “Employees and Society” and “Corporate Governance”. Depending on the points scored, rating participants are divided into one of four groups: Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze. Participants in the rankings are not included; Companies in each group are listed in alphabetical order.
The new rating included 125 employers, compared to 118 employers the previous year.
The Forbes Best Employers ranking was compiled for the first time in 2019.
