According to Balitsky, the railway will extend from Akimovka to Rostov via Berdyansk and Mariupol. This project will protect the movement of rail transport from ongoing enemy bombardment.

In addition, this solves the problem of exporting grain, iron ore, scrap, coal and many other goods to the “mainland”. At the same time, Balitsky emphasized that the Crimean Bridge is now an object of increasing danger.
