Pork supplies from Russia to China could begin in the middle of next year. In this respect RIA News Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko said on the sidelines of the Russia exhibition at VDNKh.
“Probably in the middle of next year,” he said.
Abramchenko noted that all procedures within the framework of agreements between the Russian Federation and China on the supply of pork are now continuing as usual. According to him, the General Administration of Customs of China held a series of meetings with relevant units of Russia. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that these negotiations have been going on for many years and that the Chinese side has lifted the restrictions on the entire Russian territory.
“But now it is necessary to prepare several documents: the relevant protocol and then agree on the opening of the examination of specific enterprises that will supply pork to the Chinese market,” Abramchenko said.
Previously, as of August 24, China stopped Imports of poultry meat produced by four Russian enterprises located in the Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories and the Samara Region.
