Sber is launching “Startup Race”, an entertaining reality show about young entrepreneurship, the bank’s press service reported. Its heroes will be 10 schoolchildren and students from different cities of Russia aged 16-18 who have already created their own business projects at Sber youth accelerators. The project will be published weekly starting from November 5.
As emphasized by Alexander Vedyakhin, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sber, the bank is interested in young people being able to bring their ideas to life and develop their entrepreneurial abilities and business skills under the guidance of experts.
“Today, our country needs strong technology leaders. In order for these to happen more, it is necessary to develop the infrastructure and show with real examples that all kinds of innovative ideas can be implemented. “Hopefully the reality show will be educational and viewers will recognize themselves in the characters, be inspired and try their hand at tech entrepreneurship,” he said.
As Sberbank explains, as part of the reality show, participants will spend six weeks understanding creative technologies, improving teamwork and honing business negotiations, public speaking and other skills needed by an entrepreneur.
Mentors will be star experts. They will share practical tips and cases that will be useful to both show participants and viewers who want to develop the mindset of a modern entrepreneur.
In each episode, heroes perform various tasks, and the quality of their performance determines the final result and access to the finals, where participants will meet at a special Demo Day. The projects will be evaluated by Sber’s senior managers, investors and market experts, and the best ones will be given investment.
Audience support will help participants avoid leaving the project. With the release of the first episode, voting will be opened for your favorite hero who can win “immunity” and make it to the finals, regardless of the evaluations of experts.
