Greece’s state-owned gas company DEPA Commerce is negotiating with Gazprom on the prices and conditions of Russian gas supplies next year, Greek Minister of Environment and Energy Theodoros Skylakakis said. This was reported by ot.gr.
The publication states that companies negotiated prices and paid penalties for volumes that the Greek company did not receive.
The Minister emphasized that Europe managed to reduce the amount of Russian gas from 40 percent to 9 percent, but the situation in Greece is completely different.
Formerly Arbitration Court of Russia imposed 1.5 billion dollars fine to Polish company Europol GAZ.
He was also banned from continuing transactions with Gazprom Export at the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. As the court clarified, Europol GAZ initiated a proceeding in Swedish arbitration in May, demanding $1.5 billion from Gazprom’s subsidiary. However, the latter appealed to the Russian court, claiming that a fair trial was not given.
