The European Union accused the United States of breaking the agreement on mineral resources, the agency reported. Bloomberg.
This assessment was made by European Commission Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis.
“The United States and the European Union have recently failed to reach an agreement on critical minerals because the United States has made additional demands that go beyond the agreement signed by Japan and Washington earlier this year,” Dombrovskis said.
The European official said the United States is making more demands on the European Union than on a similar agreement with Japan. This document, along with the steel and aluminum agreement, was one of two documents that were not agreed upon ahead of the EU-US summit.
