US President Joe Biden has asked Congress for an additional $1.55 billion to combat the spread of the banned drug fentanyl. This was reported by RIA News Referring to a document published by the presidential administration.
The request sent to members of Congress states, “Fighting against fentanyl – $1.55 billion.”
The money is planned to be spent on the treatment and rehabilitation of drug addicts.
The day before Biden requested Congress has billions of dollars to expand uranium enrichment capacity. The White House has said it is a national security priority because dependence on Russian uranium resources poses a risk to the US economy.
On October 25, the president of the White House will request for internal affairs, twice less than in Israel and Ukraine. Republicans who control the U.S. House of Representatives will likely not approve this proposal.
