During the two days of the V Russian-Chinese Business Forum in Beijing, companies from the two countries signed about 20 agreements, Rosneft press service reported.
About 500 people attended RKEF events: politicians, representatives of the 100 largest Russian and Chinese companies in various industries, scientists, academics, experts and analysts.
As Rosneft chairman Igor Sechin noted in his report, companies participating in RKEF provide a total of more than 45% of trade between Russia and China.
“The transition to a more just world order for our countries is taking place under serious external pressure and requires a new approach to their development, based on the primary task of domestic economic growth. “Countries are taking firm steps towards modernization, strengthening national security and achieving technological self-sufficiency,” he said.
According to Sechin, Russia aims to strengthen and deepen cooperation with the Chinese side along the entire value chain in energy and related fields, including technology, equipment supply and project financing.
“I believe that the potential of our cooperation is enormous and we are just at the beginning of its implementation,” Sechin added.
On the first day of the forum, technological tours were organized for the participants. At the headquarters of the engineering and technological research institute of the CNPC company, RKEBF participants were shown a wide range of vehicles, instruments and various equipment. Kunlun Digital Technology Company, under the management of CNPC, presented to RKEF participants the latest achievements in the fields of intellectualization of oil and gas fields, digitalization of processes along the entire production chain and industrial safety.
On the second day of RKEF, roundtable discussions were held on nuclear energy, high-tech coal mining, energy security and energy transition.
