“This decision is politicized, has no legal basis, grossly violates the mandate, charter and principles of the Egmont group and does not take into account the reasoned positions of representatives of a significant number of financial intelligence units,” the statement said.
The ministry also added that the actions of the Egmont group directly threaten the global financial system. This is due to the forced refusal to conduct a number of international investigations in this area.
At the same time, representatives of Rosfinmonitoring reported their readiness to continue cooperation with states interested in continuing the fight against crime in the economic sphere. It was stated that other information exchange channels would be used for this purpose in the service.
