Japanese electronics developer Fujitsu has decided to liquidate its division in Russia, the TV channel reported »RBC“

It is known that Fujitsu suspended the supply of its products and services after the start of a special military operation in Ukraine in February 2022, but the company has not announced its withdrawal from the Russian market so far.

Now the local entity, Fujitsu Technology Solutions LLC, will be liquidated by August 2024. Fujitsu was engaged in the sale of information and communications technologies, as well as laptops, personal computers and components in Russia.

“In laptops, they have long faded into the background due to the fact that the cost of production in Europe (this was the main model range supplied to Russia) was high compared to competitors producing devices at Chinese factories. They have also fallen to a practically insignificant share in monitors due to high competition and increased demand for analogues,” commented Aleksey Pogudalov, commercial director of Holodilnik.ru.
