The IFORS Research study was conducted among approximately 1,000 owners and managers of small and medium-sized companies in Russia. Esotericism was found to be a very common practice among entrepreneurs. 6% of respondents find these tools useful in decision making, 24% find them partially useful, and 70% find them partially or completely useless.
Women had higher confidence in the usefulness of esoteric tools (9% positive response), while men and women were equally likely to think they were quite useful (about 25% each). It is stated that a group that is relatively loyal to such practices often uses them in practice.
