According to statistics, the South American country purchased 246 thousand tons of Russian wheat at the beginning of autumn, increasing its imports by 2.6 times per month. This was a record purchase for Brazil this year. The previous maximum was recorded in December 2022, when Brazil purchased 217.4 thousand tons of wheat.
At the same time, the purchase price in September did not exceed the December maximum; that figure was $61 million versus $70 million.
