Industry experts in Poland are sounding the alarm over large amounts of “unprocessed” plastic being imported from Russia. This was reported by interia.
The publication notes that despite the embargo on raw materials from the Russian Federation in almost all EU countries, Russian plastic continues to enter the Polish market, where it has become a cheaper alternative to locally produced plastic.
According to the Polish Recycling Association, since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, almost 40% of enterprises that are members of this organization have encountered cheap Russian primary raw materials on the market.
It was known that before that, stone structures were being built in Finland. complicated due to the lack of durable firebricks. As a result, a local factory developed a domestic analogue of Russian brick.
It was noted that after the sanctions, local producers faced problems because these goods were no longer imported. According to Samu Toivanen, a bricklayer from the city of Pieksämäki, he tried to find an analogue in Southern and Central Europe but was not satisfied with the quality.
