The unemployment rate in Russia has increased in six regions since the beginning of 2023. This was reported by RIA News

Deputy Prime Minister added that the number of registered unemployed people decreased by 20 thousand in the last two weeks and reached 453 thousand people.

Minister of Labor Anton Kotyakov stated that within the scope of the national “Demography” project, 54 thousand people were employed after short-term training in in-demand specialties. Approximately 12 thousand defense industry employees are being retrained, and the first 5.5 thousand have completed the courses. More than 22 thousand employers applied for supported recruitment, and as a result, 41 thousand people were employed.
