Germany suspends financing for Palestinian development projects

While the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation has suspended funding for development projects in Palestine, the German Foreign Ministry will continue to provide humanitarian support to the region. This was reported by RIA News.

According to German Development Minister Senja Schulze, the ministry will suspend funding for Palestinian projects during the review. The Minister emphasized that in this context, Berlin will discuss with the Israeli side the issue of organizing peace in the region and combining Israel’s security with projects for the development of Palestine.

Schulze emphasized that the ministry has approved approximately 125 million euros for 2023 and 2024 to finance projects related to water supply, education for the local population and job creation.
