German investigators suspect Poland of disinformation in the Nord Stream explosions case, the newspaper reported Welt am Sonntag.
According to the publication, Poland sent Berlin a list of people who might be involved in attacks on the gas pipeline, and among them are people “with connections to Russia.”
The newspaper writes that German investigators are skeptical of this information.
“Work continues in Germany on the tracks leading to Ukraine,” the article states.
Previously Russian President Vladimir Putin statedNord Stream explosions are acts of international terrorism. He stated this at the 20th anniversary plenary session of the Valdai International Discussion Club in Sochi.
Putin noted that Russia was not allowed to investigate the terrorist attacks on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines and that the investigation would most likely yield no results.
At the same time, the head of state expressed confidence that those responsible for the Nord Stream explosions will be identified, because “you cannot hide an owl in a bag.”
