Norway joined the 11th package of EU sanctions against the Russian Federation and introduced new sanctions against Russia. This was reported by TASS Citing the Kingdom’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The new round of sanctions is largely in line with the measures in the 11th EU sanctions package,” the statement said.
The package prohibits the transit through Russian territory of goods and technologies that can be used by military and security services, products of the aerospace industries, luxury goods and a number of other products.
Before recognizedThe Norwegian government, following a number of EU countries, plans to ban vehicles registered in the Russian Federation from entering the country. The innovation will come into force on the night of October 3. As stated in the message, the restrictions will apply to vehicles with Russian license plates with nine or fewer seats.
Norway is not a member of the EU. At the same time, Oslo supported many of Brussels’ sanctions measures.
