Sber has started accepting applications for participation in the international online competition in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) – AI Journey Contest 2023, the bank’s press service reported.
This year the winners will share the record prize fund for these competitions, which exceeds 11 million rubles. The competition is supported by the AIRI Artificial Intelligence Institute.
“Artificial intelligence opens the doors of superpowers to everyone. This idea is pursued by each of the five challenges in this year’s AI Journey Challenge, together forming the SUPER concept: Power, Unique, Personalization, Equal, Recovery. “These are the necessary components for the development of artificial intelligence for the benefit of society and the creation of powerful artificial intelligence (AGI),” the message reads.
As emphasized by Alexander Vedyakhin, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sberbank, the tasks of the AIJ Competition are becoming more complex and at the same time more exciting every year, the qualifications and geography of the participants are increasing.
“This is natural, given how quickly artificial intelligence technologies are developing. Artificial intelligence is a tool that can increase the abilities of every person and give him superpowers. What seemed impossible a few years ago is now becoming reality. “I invite everyone interested in artificial intelligence technologies to our competition, and I hope that as a result of the competition, we will obtain truly mature models at an international level and the participants will take their skills to a new level.”
Vedyakhin noted that last year about 1,500 participants competed for awards. However, he is confident that the record will be broken this year.
The bank announced that participants over the age of 18 can participate in the competition. The proposed tasks must be solved by November 7, 2023. The competition is organized on the DS Works platform.
