Moscow and Beijing agreed to create logistics centers in Russia’s border cities to increase mutual trade volume. This was reported by RIA News.

The Chinese company Xuan Yuan, together with its Russian partners, will build a complex for the transshipment of oil, chemicals and other cargo in the Jewish Autonomous Region. According to the company’s chief executive, the annual transport volume will be 10 million tons.

An agreement was signed with the Amur Region on the construction of a conveyor between Heihe and Blagoveshchensk that will export 15 million tons of Russian coal annually.

Work will begin in Zabaikalsk and Nizhneleninsky. They plan to increase turnover in Zabaikalsk by 3 times to 30 million tons per year. This will require an investment of 8 billion ₽, a logistics terminal will be built in Nizhneleninsky for 2 billion ₽.

China is interested in developing the region within the framework of the One Belt One Road project. The new infrastructure will create jobs and accelerate housing construction.
