Chairman of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) said: “New logistics of the Far East – in the East, not only the eastern training ground, but also other transport and logistics chains need to be developed.” The “white swan” of the Russian economy within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) Alexander Shokhin.

“Turning to the east, it is necessary to develop not only the eastern region (BAM, Trans-Siberian Railway, Far Eastern ports, including Primorsky Krai), but also other transport and logistics chains, such as the North Sea. “Rota and Northern Latitude Railway,” he said.

According to Shokhin, today “there is strong competition for global transport and logistics flows.”

“For example, at the concluded G20, Joe Biden, along with India and Washington’s allies, announced plans to launch a rail and shipping corridor that will connect India, the Middle East and Europe,” he said. .

At the session, attention was drawn to the importance of technologically advanced ports located in difficult climatic conditions, such as the Yenisey cargo terminal and the Indiga port under construction in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

Alexander Shokhin noted that thanks to such projects, the training area in the east will be relieved due to the use of meridian routes.

“We are also focusing on the fact that the North-South international transport corridor ends in Mumbai. There will be something to compete with, including technology and cargo. These need to be delivered at a volume and level that is “competitive with partners,” Shokhin said.

The VIII Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) will take place in Vladivostok from 10 to 13 September.
