Sberbank doubled the validity period of cards in the Mir national payment system to ten years. About this issue in an interview with RIA Novosti at the Eastern Economic Forum declaration Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sber Kirill Tsarev.

For example, Visa allowed issuing cards for up to 20 years, but almost no banks used this option. The maximum maturity in the market was 10 years.
