Brazil’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation Rodrigo de Lima Baena Soares said that Brazil plans to increase its coffee supply to Russia. RIA News.

According to the ambassador, the supply of specialty coffee varieties will be especially increased. He stated that coffee is one of Brazil’s main export products.

The ambassador added: “I hope there is more and more Brazilian coffee on the Russian market.”

The Ambassador also expressed that Brazil is interested in increasing the supply of acai fruit to Russia. He noted that more than ten Brazilian companies will participate in the World Food international fair, which will be held in Moscow between 19-22 September. Brazilian exporters are interested in supplying meat, fruit and acai berries grown in the Amazon region to Russia.

The Ambassador commented on the shipments: “Acai berry supply to Russia at the moment is negligible. However, Brazil exports a large amount of agricultural products to Russia and we can offer acai berries. I am very interested in this topic and I am sure they will be popular and people will like them.”

Acai berries are small, dark purple berries that resemble grapes or blueberries in shape. They grow in clusters on palm trees, mainly in the Amazon rainforest. Acai berries are considered rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
