Business Class passengers will be presented with the menu prepared by the winners of the chef competition

The airline’s press service, Aeroflot, has summarized the results of the second final of the SU-Chef all-Russian gastronomy competition. All finalists’ meals will be featured on the new Business class menu in December.

The final of the competition took place on September 5 at the Onest restaurant in the capital. Its participants were 16 conductors of the Festival in Megacities, which received the most positive feedback from gourmets. The finalists prepared cold appetizers, meat and fish hot dishes for the competition. The best dishes were chosen by a professional jury. Aeroflot’s senior executives also attended the tasting.

Thus, according to the results of the competition, the first place was St. Dmitry Reshetnikov, the brand chef of the MON CHOUCHOU restaurant in St. Petersburg. In second place was Igor Shiyanov, the chef of the Red Wall restaurant in Nizhny Novgorod. The name in the top three was Roman Chemerenko, the chef of the Cheshuya restaurant in Krasnoyarsk.

“The built-in kitchen is a new and unexplored genre for me. Any air flight is an adventure and a foretaste of something new. I was inspired by these feelings when I prepared snacks and hot meals for the business class of the country’s top airline. I am happy that the jury highly appreciated my description and performance, and I am grateful to my colleagues for an interesting and creative duel,” said Reshetnikov.

It was noted that Moscow chef Evgeny Kuznetsov from SibirSibir restaurant received the audience award given by the brand chief of Aeroflot’s in-flight catering supplier CJSC Aeromar.
