In the January-August period of this year, the demand for experts in the oil and gas sector increased by 43% compared to the same period of 2022. This has been reported TASS With reference to the work of the HeadHunter platform.

“In January-August 2023, companies in the Oil and Gas sector opened 127.6 thousand vacancies, which is 43% more than in the same period last year,” the report said.

Most of these vacancies are open in Moscow – 9 percent, followed by St. Petersburg – 6 percent, and in third place – Ufa with 4 percent.

Turners, locksmiths and welders have become the most scarce occupations in the oil and gas field.

Previously, it was known that the repurchase of Russian oil and gas companies’ shares from foreign owners poses a risk in terms of the ruble exchange rate. This conclusion was made by specialists of the investment division of Sberbank (SberCIB). According to them, such transactions can increase capital outflow and negative expectations in the foreign exchange market.
