Sergei Bartosh, Head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus, said that since the expected harvest this year was not good, about one million tons of grains are planned to be purchased from abroad. The minister said this in an interview with the TV channel. ONT.

Bartosz noted that the harvest in 2023 will be worse than last year, therefore a “safety pad” should be created, and President Alexander Lukashenko instructed the purchase of grain from abroad.

The Minister emphasized that there are regions and districts in Belarus that not only keep the harvest at the 2022 level, but increase it. He stated that agricultural technologies that will not be dependent on weather conditions should be developed.

Bartosh pointed out that due to climate change, new crops, especially melons and walnuts, are being grown in Belarus. Hazelnut orchards were established in the Minsk and Brest regions, which will allow the production of products on an industrial scale.

Previously, France recognized Russia judge in the grain market.

Formerly an economist warned Kiev on the risks associated with the growth of foreign debt.
