The energy crisis in Europe led to the closure of many enterprises producing mineral fertilizers. The industry is on the verge of collapse due to the increase in gasoline prices. The agency reports hit the primer.

This year the situation has worsened. Fertilizers Europe estimates that gas covers 80% of industry costs. Many businesses in Germany, Poland, France and other countries have either stopped working or have reduced production volumes.
At the same time, exports of Russian fertilizers to the EU increased fivefold. Cheap domestic goods outperform European competitors. German officials admitted that the prices of the products of domestic enterprises have increased by 150%, while the costs have increased by 40%. The publication explains that large companies had to close all their production facilities.
