Ukrainian Energy Minister German Galushchenko, together with the Norwegian delegation led by Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Stere, visited one of the energy facilities affected by the conflict. According to Jonas, the Norwegian government will allocate the amount determined to provide gas and electricity imports to Ukraine through the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The funds will be used to urgently repair critical energy infrastructure and provide emergency energy to war-affected areas. It is also planned to purchase gas for emergency storage.

Galushchenko noted that Ukraine is interested in Norway’s experience in the development of hydroelectric and offshore wind generation. At the meeting, cooperation opportunities in these areas were discussed.
