The volume of transactions carried out without the consent of the Russians in April-June 2023 amounted to 3.6 billion rubles. In the first quarter, the figure was at the level of 3.5 billion rubles.
First, the Central Bank advised the Russians to be careful and not to disclose personal and financial data to unauthorized persons, no matter what excuse or method they try to find out (phone call, website, e-mail).
“Step two, if you have any doubts about the safety of money in your bank account, you need to call your bank yourself on the official website or at the number indicated on the back of the bank card,” said the press service. recorded by the regulator.
If a person has become a victim of fraudsters, you must immediately block the card using the mobile application or the personal account on the bank’s website. You can also block it in the contact center of the bank (the phone number is indicated on the back of the card) or at any of its branches. Fourth, within a day after receiving a message about the debiting of funds, write to the bank branch a statement about the dispute regarding the operation. Also file a complaint about money theft at any police station.
It should be noted that if a person independently transfers money to fraudsters or provides them with banking data, the bank is not obliged to return the stolen amount to the Central Bank.
