In Russia, it is necessary to return to the Soviet practice of attracting students to agricultural work against the backdrop of an exodus of immigrants. On NSN broadcast about it declaration Sergei Lupekhin, Chairman of the Association of Potato and Vegetable Market Participants, comments on reports of job shortages in large agricultural enterprises following the weakening of the ruble.
“There is a problem, the main reason is the exchange rate, we pay in rubles and the immigrants spend the money they earn in their hometowns and the dollar does not meet their expectations. The second reason is that the European Union provides them with the opportunity to work and many are striving to get there. We’re trying to get the output under control, but so far without much success. What should we do? Work with students,” said Lupekhin.
According to him, compulsory student practice in agricultural work during the harvest campaign until October 15 should be credited to the educational process.
