Russians told what currency they keep their savings

More than two-thirds of Russians, 68% prefer to keep their savings in rubles, while only 6% prefer to keep their savings in dollars. This is evidenced by the survey data of the All-Russian Center for Public Opinion. (VCIOM).

According to the survey, 4% of respondents keep their savings in euros, while 4% keep their savings in other currencies.

27% of Russians reported that they had no savings.

VTsIOM points out that one of the obvious trends of the last year and a half is the devaluation of Russian savings.

1.6 thousand Russians aged 18 and over participated in the survey held on July 29, 2023.

A similar report was published by the Public Opinion Foundation (FOM) on August 19. Accordingly, the majority of Russians consider it most profitable to keep their money in rubles (61%), while only 15% of citizens prefer foreign currencies.
