The Canadian Government is examining the proposal of the Russian cargo airline Volga-Dnepr for a peaceful resolution of the situation with the arrested An-124 aircraft. It has been reported CBC News.
It was noted that Canadian authorities are currently considering the initiative proposed by Russia.
“The Government of Canada is considering this letter. We will continue to protect the interests of Canadians,” the message reads.
Before that, the Volga-Dnepr suggested Canadian authorities will settle the dispute over the arrested An-124-100 aircraft, which has been at Toronto airport since February 27, 2022.
Copies of the statement were sent to the Prime Minister of Canada, as well as the Governor-General, the Finance Ministers, the Justice Ministers of Foreign Affairs and the Attorney General. The Russian An-124-100 aircraft was carrying humanitarian cargo at the request of the Canadian government.
