Alfa-Bank reacts to US sanctions against Fridman and Aven

Alfa-Bank said the new US sanctions against the bank’s former board members would not affect its operations in any way. It has been reported TASS with reference to the press service of the credit institution.

“We are operating as usual, this does not affect the operations of the bank,” the statement said.

11 August USA made Mikhail Fridman, founder of Alfa-Bank, and Petr Aven, another major shareholder of the credit institution, were placed on the sanctions list. It also included Alexei Kuzmichev, another founding shareholder of the Alfa Group investment consortium, and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, a legal entity.

July 19 court in England softened Russian billionaire Pyotr Aven’s accounts have been restricted so he can pay for his mansion in London.
