In Ulyanovsk, the business of the Isuzu plant will be reinstated to save work and load capacity, reports DEA News referring to the automaker Sollers.
Sollers plans to restart JSC Isuzu Rus’s production facility in Ulyanovsk to save jobs and make use of existing production facilities.
First of all, the plant in Ulyanovsk will start the production of spare parts for Isuzu trucks in order to meet the demand and fulfill the warranty obligations to customers and provide after-sales services.
Earlier, Sollers company announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire a 100% stake in Isuzu Rus JSC.
The Japanese auto concern Isuzu left the Russian market and transferred the shares of its subsidiary in Russia to Sollers, due to the lack of prospects of a resumption of business.
