Aeroflot Airlines has won its first federal Generations Innovation Award (GIA) 2023 in the nomination Import Substitute of the Year. This was reported by the carrier’s press service.
It was noted that participation in the GIA award took place in 3 stages. At the same time, the 76 largest Russian companies were declared in the competitive selection, 11 of them are in the nomination for Import Substitute of the Year.
Aeroflot, the leading position among domestic companies with proven cases of innovative cooperation and technology development in the framework of import substitution, was achieved by the project “Against Sanctions and Digital Sovereignty”, the airline said in a statement.
According to Aeroflot, the project aims to ensure Russian aviation mobility, dominate the air transport sector and protect the aircraft fleet. The project also organizes the maintenance and repair of aircraft in the Russian Federation, as well as the import substitution of critical software.
Recall that the Generations Innovation Award is the first federal award in the field of corporate innovation in Russia, recognizing the most striking and successful cases and practices, partnerships and teams for the period from July 2021 to July 2022.
The award is organized by the GenerationS corporate innovation development platform with the support of the Russian Federation Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Federation Ministry of Economic Development and ANO Tsifrovaya economica. Its purpose is to reward best practices for working with innovations in companies from key sectors of the economy, and also to identify trends in the development of innovation activities in the country.
