Moscow Region Governor Andrey Vorobyov and Sberbank Chairman German Gref, St. Petersburg International Economic Forum signed an agreement on cooperation in the development of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.
“We have had a fruitful collaboration with Sber for a long time, offering all the cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence technologies. We currently have 9 projects connected to artificial intelligence. The other 4 are under implementation and will be fully launched this year. Andrey Vorobyov said, “We will try to introduce artificial intelligence into all areas of life.”
The agreement provides collaboration in the application of artificial intelligence to increase efficiency and productivity, develop and implement intelligent technological solutions, and create advanced services.
Vorobyov noted that it is also planned to launch joint pilot applications using artificial intelligence in the fields of medicine, urban economy and transportation. The regional government and Sberbank will also exchange experience in designing, creating and implementing projects in the field of artificial intelligence.
“The Moscow region is one of the most technologically advanced regions in Russia, and we have been fruitfully cooperating for many years, including IT. Our new agreement is designed to integrate artificial intelligence into everyday life as much as possible. “We will work together not only to develop such technologies, but also to accelerate their introduction into commercial operation,” Gref said.
Also, Vorobyov introduced Gref to the Artificial Intelligence Center (AI Transformation Center) opened in Krasnogorsk. A project office for the practical application of AI technologies in fields such as health, transport, construction, ecology, housing and communal services and others. The aim of the center is the full-scale implementation of artificial intelligence solutions and the transition to a modern public administration model in which big data, systems with artificial intelligence technology and project approach will be actively used.
