The future of the Russian video content industry was discussed at SPIEF 22:30

Alexei Goreslavsky, Director General of the Internet Development Institute (IRI), St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) outlined potential near and future trends in the development of the domestic content market. In particular, Goreslavsky spoke about the main trends in the field of content, informs IRI press office.

“Digital Attention Challenge at SPIEF session. What will the audience watch tomorrow” Goreslavsky noted that projects based on the works of Internet writers, film adaptations of computer games, Russian anime, series procedures have gained popularity among producers – they are built according to “a series – a plot”. schema.

“According to this year’s Mediascope survey, 22-24% of respondents read manga comics. This is a visible interest and the content industry cannot be overlooked. We have also supported several such projects, such as the “Cupid” anime series.

Goreslavsky also touched on the topic of youth content in the discussion.

“We all really want to see more youth films and projects targeting 10-16 year olds in general, because there are many children’s projects from animation to various others, as well as many adult projects. but 10-16 years old is kind of a disaster and there is almost nothing,” he stressed.

According to him, one of the quality criteria is the possibility of family monitoring.
